With a 116-113 win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2021 NBA Playoffs, the Atlanta Hawks seized a 1-0 lead in their best-of-seven series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Trae Young torched the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring 48 points and dishing out 11 assists as he lead his Atlanta Hawks to another another postseason road victory. From the start, the 22-year-old was on fire, and he didn’t let up until the last buzzer. John Collins had a great game for the Hawks, scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. With 33 points and 10 assists, Jrue Holiday finished second on the Bucks’ scoring list.

The Bucks, on the other hand, were unable to control Young and Collins, who played with their defense, particularly in the third quarter.

Almost all of Young’s shots in the first half were successful. The Atlanta Hawks guard couldn’t be stopped, as he was able to get in the lane and hit his floaters while also hitting a pair of 3-pointers. Young also kept the Milwaukee Bucks guessing on defense by finding open opportunities for his teammates.

The Milwaukee Bucks, on the other hand, were dominating in the paint, exploiting their superior size and strength to the fullest. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and P.J. Tucker continued to slam the boards and get buckets up close and personal.

After being freed from Ben Simmons’ restraints, Young was on fire in the first half, scoring 25 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field. The Atlanta Hawks’ star displayed his whole repertoire of floaters, jumpers, and three-pointers.

The Bucks, however, led 59-54 at halftime, with Holiday and Antetokounmpo each scoring 16 and 14 points.

The Atlanta Hawks are the most entertaining team in the NBA Playoffs in 2021, as evidenced by their performance in the third quarter. Young and Collins were like children on a playground as the former lobbed passes to Collins, who displayed his athleticism.

Due to an onslaught from the Hawks pair, the Milwaukee Bucks fell behind by eight points.

Young executed the shimmy just before taking and scoring a three-pointer on one possession, and fans on Twitter went crazy. Even LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers was impressed, as seen by his tweet.

After Antetokounmpo returned to the game, the Milwaukee Bucks pulled ahead in the fourth quarter. With little over five minutes to go, the Greek Freak took command of his side. He helped the Bucks take a seven-point lead with alley-oop dunks, short jumpers, and layups as the scoreboard read 105-98 in their favor.

With 29.8 seconds left, the Atlanta Hawks retook the lead and made it 111-110 on a follow-up slam by Clint Capela. With 17.3 seconds left on the clock, Young added two free throws.

On their final possession, the Milwaukee Bucks were unable to make a three-point shot.

The Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks will play Game 2 at Fiserv Forum on Friday, as Antetokounmpo and his teammates aim to avoid falling behind 2-0 at home.
