The FAU-G game is available on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. This comes after months of speculation in which FAU-G was hailed as India’s equivalent to the banned PUBG Mobile India game, which has since resurfaced as Battlegrounds Mobile India. Battlegrounds Mobile India is exhibiting all the hallmarks of becoming as popular as PUBG Mobile, with 20 million pre-registrations and as many as 5 million downloads in just a few days after its early access edition was released.

So it was only right that Akshay Kumar took the honors of announcing the beta release of FAU-G Team DeathMatch on Sunday. Akshay wrote on Instagram, “When #FAUG takes on their dushman in a deadly team combat, bullets will fly! FAUG’s Team DeathMatch mode is now available in testing. There are just a few spots available! @vishygo @ncore games official #BharatKeVeer”

On Republic Day, January 26, 2021, the Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G) game was released. Although attention was called to it in September of 2020, when the gaming community was riveted on the news of the ban imposed on PUBG Mobile India at the time. Akshay had tweeted at the time: “In support of PM @narendramodi’s AtmaNirbhar initiative, we’re happy to introduce Fearless And United-Guards FAU-G, an action game. Aside from being entertained, players will learn about our warriors’ sacrifices. 20% of the net proceeds will be donated to the @BharatKeVeer Trust #FAUG “.

At the time, there was widespread public outcry in India over China’s border actions. Hundreds of other China-linked websites were later blocked in India, along with PUBG Mobile India, citing national security concerns.
