Edge makes a huge announcement about his Money in the Bank victory: “Don’t put me in it.”

Mr. Money in the Bank was initially awarded to WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who won the briefcase at WrestleMania 21 in 2005. Edge’s first world title triumph came as a result of this victory, which was a watershed event in his career.

The Rated-R Superstar recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump and said that he initially refused to participate in the first Money in the Bank ladder match.

He believed he was being pigeonholed as a ladder match guy. Edge jokingly acknowledged that he didn’t believe it was a good idea. He also disclosed that his original Money in the Bank suitcase is still with him:
“I wish I could say I had this vision of it becoming its own pay-per-view,” she says. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no In fact, when they originally told me I’d be in this Money in the Bank event, I thought to myself, “another ladder match?” I don’t want to be a ladder match guy, for example. That’s not all I want to do. I’d like to see a traditional wrestling match.
‘Don’t put me in it,’ I honestly said. I’ll make my way to WrestleMania in some other way, and if I don’t make it this year, I’ll make it next year, but I’m tired of ladder matches. I don’t want to be labeled in that way.’ That was not a brilliant idea (laughs). So, finally, and this may seem ridiculous, but I had to be persuaded to participate in the match,” Edge remarked.
