The knockout stages of UEFA Euro 2020 are ready to begin, with the group stage coming to a close soon.
Some big names have already advanced to the next round thanks to their players’ outstanding performances. It’s been interesting to witness the attacking quality on exhibit, with Euro 2020 boasting some of the top attackers in the game.
Fans will be looking forward to the next round of games, which will pit some of the world’s top footballing nations and players against one another in a bid to win the prized competition.
Let’s take a look at the top five forwards thus far in Euro 2020:
Patrik Schick is ranked number five in the world (Czech Republic)
The Czech Republic and Patrik Schick were not expected to do much at Euro 2020, but the striker has been a revelation so far.
Schick has emerged as his country’s standout player after a successful season with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. In the Czech Republic’s opening game against Scotland, he scored a brace, including a wondergoal from the halfway line.

The 25-year-old struck a penalty against Croatia to help his team through to the next round. At the time of writing, Schick’s country is leading their group, ahead of countries like England and Croatia. Larger clubs may take a closer look at Schick if he has more performances like these at Euro 2020.
Memphis Depay (#4) (The Netherlands)
The Netherlands have qualified for the next stage of Euro 2020 by winning all three group games with reasonable ease.
While players like Frenkie de Jong, Daley Blind, and Denzel Dumfries have received praise, Memphis Depay has once again demonstrated his abilities. With his pace, ingenuity, and incredible technical ability on show, the forward, who is expected to join Barcelona after Euro 2020, has led the charge for the Oranje.
