The Czech Republic and Patrik Schick were not expected to do much at Euro 2020, but the striker has been a revelation so far.

Schick has emerged as his country’s standout player after a successful season with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. In the Czech Republic’s opening game against Scotland, he scored a brace, including a wondergoal from the halfway line.

The 25-year-old struck a penalty against Croatia to help his team through to the next round. At the time of writing, Schick’s country is leading their group, ahead of countries like England and Croatia. Larger clubs may take a closer look at Schick if he has more performances like these at Euro 2020.

Memphis Depay (#4) (The Netherlands)
