For a week, PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), a popular BR title, will be free to play. While it was revealed last month that the game will be free, Krafton has now issued an official statement. While this is welcome news in the gaming community, there is one catch: the PUBG PC version will only be available for free on one platform.
For a limited time, PUBG is free to play, but just for a week.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be free to play for a week, as previously stated. The benefits, however, are only available on one platform. The game will be available to play for free on Steam. It will be free-to-play starting August 10 and will go through August 16. Newcomers will receive certain limited-time incentives from Krafton in order to ‘incentivize’ them to master the foundations of the game and implement such techniques in BR matches.
Those interested in trying out the BR title should do so via Steam and play the pair or group match in the major maps. As part of the ‘test,’ the new Taego battleground map, as well as the other maps, will be available. Furthermore, players’ mission progress and gameplay strategies are saved, and their achievement progress will be transferred if they decide to purchase the game later.
“All awards are available, including Pass and Mission rewards, as well as XP and BP. All objectives and metrics will be logged as well, allowing you to keep track of your progress. If played on the same account after purchasing the game title, all records will be carried over,” Krafton stated.
In addition, the developers have organized an event called “Newbie Training Course,” which is aimed at newcomers. The show will run till August 16th. Players will most likely be able to obtain gun skins and costumes by accomplishing tasks via ledge grabs and other game components.

PUBG: Battlegrounds is the new name for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which was previously known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. According to accounts, Krafton implemented these adjustments quietly in July.
“Krafton is actively developing the PUBG brand by releasing a number of different experiences set in the game’s setting. The rebranding of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to PUBG: Battlegrounds is the first step toward achieving this goal. “As you will see with our future game, PUBG: New State,” the developers told PC Gamer, “additional titles in the franchise will have the PUBG name.”
To commemorate the collaboration with Kpop mega-group Blackpink, PUBG: Battlegrounds is going free-to-play for a week. With ‘decals on the airship and buildings,’ the game will have crossover material.
