Garena has announced a special agreement to develop a new character for the Indian audience, following the recent ban of PUBG Mobile in India. As part of the ongoing ‘Be the Hero’ promotion, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan will portray the role of Jai, Free Fire’s first playable Indian character. Garena said the collaboration will help it continue to entertain and engage the Free Fire Indian community by providing localized experiences that are suited to their interests.

“I’m ecstatic to be a part of the Free Fire universe, and the team’s official avatar, Jai, is incredible. “I hope all of the players enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” Hrithik Roshan stated. The character’s unique ability is called ‘Raging Reload,’ and it involves the Gun’s magazine being automatically reloaded by up to 25% of its capacity after knocking down an opponent.

Garena, a Singapore-based online game developer and publisher, has released Free Fire, a battle royale game for Android and iOS smartphones. Free Fire was the most downloaded mobile game in the world in 2019, and it also won the “Best Popular Game” award “In 2019, the Google Play Store will release a new version of its app. The game’s graphics aren’t as spectacular as they are touted as “a benefit for mid and low quality phones.””

According to the game developer, the “Be The Hero” campaign has gotten a lot of attention from influencers all around India since it was announced, with many gaming influencers flocking to social media to express their excitement about the collaboration. The announcement also comes as the immensely popular game PUBG Mobile has been banned in the country as part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s recent directive to ban 118 Chinese apps.
