In his final Test, Mohammed Shami cleans out BJ Watling with an absolute snorter.

New Zealand wicketkeeper BJ Watling, who is playing his final Test, has had his farewell party ruined by Mohammed Shami. In what could be his final Test innings, the speedster produced an absolute gem to dismiss Watling for just one run.

Up until that point, Mohammed Shami was a smidgeon shorter in stature. But just then, he made sure he got the ball pretty full and it slid away just enough to completely square up Watling. As he walked back to the pavilion, the Kiwi keeper couldn’t believe his eyes.

Here is the video of Mohammed Shami castling BJ Watling:

India has won the first session of what might be a decisive Day 5 thanks to some excellent bowling from Mohammed Shami. Virat Kohli and his team would believe they have the upper hand in this vital World Test Championship (WTC) final after picking up three wickets.

With the entire action on Day 4 being rained off, the first session was going to be critical. The pitch provided some assistance to the Indian pacers, but they were a little too short in length for the first hour.

In the first hour of play, both Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor struggled for runs, but they made sure no wickets were lost. But, just when India needed a boost, Mohammed Shami came through with Taylor’s wicket.

Shami coaxed a false shot and Shubman Gill completed a spectacular grab at mid-off by drawing Taylor into a straight drive. Henry Nicholls’ tenure at the crease was cut short as Ishant Sharma edged one to Rohit Sharma in the slip cordon.

Watling’s wicket was just the cherry on top for the Indian squad, as the Kiwis now find themselves at 135-5, still trailing by 82 runs. Mohammed Shami has once again demonstrated how deadly he can be when he rediscovers his groove. We’ve got a thrilling day of action ahead of us.
