IND versus SL 2021: Aakash Chopra on playing Yadav and Chahal together: “I don’t think there can be a greater opportunity than this”

The ODI series against Sri Lanka, according to Aakash Chopra, gives a perfect opportunity for Team India to play Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal together.

Yadav and Chahal are two of India’s six limited-overs spinners for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The 20-member group also includes Rahul Chahar, Varun Chakravarthy, Krishnappa Gowtham, and Krunal Pandya.

Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal should be played together because of their wicket-taking powers, said to Aakash Chopra in a video posted on his YouTube channel. He expressed himself as follows:

“I don’t think there’s a better chance than this because why did you play Kulcha together, Jaddu and Ashwin weren’t taking wickets in the middle overs.” There’s a new concern these days: you’re not getting wickets in the opening ten overs as well.”

Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal were both penetrative and economical when they played together, according to the cricketer-turned-commentator. Added Chopra:

“Don’t take wickets in the middle overs if you don’t get them in the first ten overs.”

When Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal played together, the cricketer-turned-commentator pointed out that they were not just penetrative but also economical. Chopra continued, “

“If you don’t take wickets in the first ten overs, don’t take wickets in the middle overs, and just control in the end, you’ll give up a lot of runs. As a result, you began to play them in the middle to let them to take wickets. In 25 matches, they got 100 wickets and had a decent economy of 5.5 to 6.”

In the 34 One-Day Internationals that Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal have played together for Team India, they have taken 118 wickets at an amazing average of 25.67.

Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal are expected to play all three One-Day Internationals, according to Aakash Chopra.

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal’s partnership was ended after just one mediocre performance, according to Aakash Chopra. He remarked:

“Then there was that one game in Birmingham where you lost to England in a 2019 World Cup league match. They didn’t get another chance to play together after that.”

Given that Hardik Pandya is also sliding his arm over, the 43-year-old concluded by adding that Kuldeep Yadav and Chahal should play all three ODIs. Chopra elaborated:

“A minor issue was that Hardik was not bowling and they were wanting to play another all-rounder; however, now that Hardik is bowling and Jaddu and Ashwin are not here, please play both of them. You should play them 100% in all three ODIs and see what happens.””A minor issue was that Hardik was not bowling and they were wanting to play another all-rounder; however, now that Hardik is bowling and Jaddu and Ashwin are not here, please play both of them. Aakash Chopra went on to say that Team India might use either Krunal Pandya or Krishnappa Gowtham as the third spinner, as both are adept of using the willow.
