Manchester United’s star player has hinted at a departure.

Jesse Lingard, a midfielder for Manchester United, has hinted that he may leave the club in the future. After falling down the Manchester United pecking order, the Englishman spent the second half of the 2020-21 season on loan at West Ham.

Lingard enjoyed a fantastic loan stay with West Ham, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 16 appearances to help the Hammers finish sixth in the Premier League. His achievements earned him a call-up to England’s squad by Gareth Southgate ahead of Euro 2020.

Lingard was quizzed about his future at Manchester United in an interview with Sky Sports. The Englishman has stated that he wants to play regular football. He stated, “

“For me, the most essential thing is to play regular football. You started to see the real me after going on loan and getting a nice run in the team, with the goals and assists. I’ve never had any doubts about my abilities, and I’ve always trusted in myself. ‘I need game time,’ I told the manager (Ole Gunnar Solskjaer) during pre-season. ‘We can talk about it in December,’ he replied, and we spoke again, and he agreed to let me go on loan. During my tenure at West Ham, I had several chats with him. He was quite helpful, and it was a fantastic loan for me.”
