Neymar, the Brazilian superstar who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, has rated Liverpool’s outstanding midfielder Thiago Alcántara as one of the five players in the world who are more technically gifted than him.
Neymar named Lionel Messi, Marco Verratti, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, and Liverpool’s Thiago Alcántara as players who are technically better than him in an interview with Facebook page Oh my Goal (via HITC).
Neymar said in the interview:
“Are you more technical than I am? I’m not sure I can answer that! With all due modesty, I feel myself to be one of the most technically gifted players in the game today!”
However, when Neymar was asked to choose five players, he chose the five players listed above.
Thiago Alcántara and the Brazilian superstar have a long history together. In the 2020 Champions League final, when his PSG team fell to Bayern Munich, Neymar met the present Liverpool midfielder.
Thiago joins Liverpool in the summer of 2020 after winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich. Due to a series of ailments, the 30-year-old Spanish international has had a difficult time at Anfield.
Neymar also mentioned Lionel Messi as a player with whom he would like to reunite. Regarding his former Barcelona teammate, the 29-year-old had the following to say:
