Our soccer betting expert is here with his best Argentina vs Ecuador predictions and picks ahead of their Copa America Quarter Final matchup, which kicks off at 9 p.m. EST.

Argentina has been the Copa America’s most in-form team this summer, with just Brazil able to match their three wins and one tie.

Ecuador has yet to win a game this summer, drawing three and losing one, so we’re picking La Albiceleste to advance to the semi-finals with a win in tonight’s encounter.

Argentina is the best performer in the world.

Both teams have scored in three of Ecuador’s four games thus far, with Argentina having seen the same results in two of theirs.

The Albiceleste triumphed 4-1 against Bolivia in their previous match, and Argentina has won two of their last three games against today’s opponents without conceding.

They have enough quality in attack to truly punish Ecuador, but their defense isn’t the best, with stars like Nicolas Otamendi more than capable of making a mistake.

Argentina won 6-1 the previous time these two sides met, and given how well they’ve played so far this summer, expect Lionel Scaloni’s team to repeat the feat tonight.

Goals Goals, goals, goals

In the last five games between these two teams, nearly three goals have been scored per game, while Ecuador has scored 10 goals in their last three Copa America games at a similar rate.

Argentina scored five goals in their most recent match, which was against Bolivia, demonstrating how they can put teams to shame when they make mistakes.

Ecuador has scored at least three goals in seven of their past ten matches across all competitions, including two of their last three at this summer’s event.

With this in mind, it appears that crossing the goal line for today’s game is the best option.

Messi for a 4th time

Lionel Messi, the former Barcelona star, is now leading the race for the Copa America Golden Boot this summer, having scored three times so far.

In his most recent game, Messi scored a brace against Bolivia, adding to the free-kick he scored against Chile in Argentina’s opening to take the Golden Boot lead.

He’s scored seven goals in his last 12 games for La Albiceleste, and the 34-year-old is coming off a 38-goal season with former club Barcelona.

You don’t get many opportunities to bet on Messi to score at odds of over +100, and considering his recent form, you shouldn’t miss out on this one.
