At PSG, Mauricio Pochettino wants Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi to play up front. In training, the Argentine boss is experimenting with the two forwards and working on their connection.
According to ESPN, Pochettino is attempting to persuade Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG by playing him in his preferred position. The Argentine coach wants to keep the Frenchman pleased while also including Lionel Messi in the lineup.
According to the report, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe were paired up in a 2v2 training session to improve their linkup play. However, there are no indications that the former Barcelona player will make his debut anytime soon.

Mauricio Pochettino addressed Lionel Messi’s situation, saying:
“Our task now is to guarantee that all of these great players come together to build a team capable of meeting all of the obstacles that lie ahead. We want to make sure that this group works well together. It’s his second day of training after a month since his last game at the Copa America, so we might see Leo Messi in action soon. We’ll take things slowly at first, getting to know each other and getting him fit and comfortable so he can make his debut when he’s ready.”
Kylian Mbappe yet to decide his PSG future amid Real Madrid talks
Kylian Mbappe is rumored to be interested in joining Real Madrid in the near future. According to reports, the Frenchman wants to speak with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi about his intention to depart this summer.
The president, on the other hand, is keen about having the greatest players at PSG, including Kylian Mbappe. Following Lionel Messi’s arrival, PSG president said:
“Mbappe? He is a member of PSG. He has stated that he does not wish to leave the squad in public. We know what his plans are; he has stated that he does not want to leave the squad and that he will remain. He stated that he desired a competitive team, and there is none more competitive than the one we have here. He has no incentive to do anything but remain. He is a Parisian with a winning attitude. He’s a member of our team.”
Real Madrid are allegedly open to deferring a bid for Kylian Mbappe until next summer. At the end of the 2021/22 season, the Frenchman will be a free agent.
