Real Madrid has already began preseason preparations and is working on transfers to ensure that incoming manager Carlo Ancelotti inherits a quality squad at the end of the summer.
Los Blancos are hoping that the Italian can once again work his magic at the Santiago Bernabeu and lead the team to glory. The La Liga giants had a rough season in 2020/21 and are determined to turn a fresh page next season.
This summer, the Real Madrid attacking line deserves quick attention. Los Blancos are bringing in reinforcements to assist share the weight of Karim Benzema, who has been the club’s lone bright point in attack.
Let’s take a look at some of the major Real Madrid transfer stories from July 8, 2021.
Real Madrid are interested in signing a Premier League player.
According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid is interested in signing Raheem Sterling. So far, the Manchester City player has shone at Euro 2020, helping England reach the final. Since joining City in 2015, Sterling has been an integral component of the team, although he has struggled for game time at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Despite his 14 goals and 12 assists in 49 appearances, he is said to be pondering his options. Los Blancos are keeping a close eye on the situation and may make a play for the Englishman, who is expected to cost approximately €90 million.

After a season in which Vinicius Junior, Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio, and Rodrigo Goes all struggled for consistency, Real Madrid is looking to improve their offense. Los Blancos are considering a number of other possibilities, including Sterling. The La Liga club’s first objective remains Kylian Mbappe, but if a deal for the PSG star falls through, Carlo Ancelotti may devote his whole attention to Sterling.
Liverpool are keeping their eye on a Brazilian forward.
According to The Hard Tackle via El Chiringuito TV, Liverpool are keeping an eye on Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior. Los Blancos recruited the Brazilian from Flamengo in 2018, but the 20-year-old failed to live up to expectations at the Santiago Bernabeu. Vinicius has only 14 goals and 23 assists in 118 appearances for the La Liga giants, but he is a rare talent who will only get better with experience.
Liverpool are aiming to sign the Brazilian this summer, but Vinicius is a highly regarded player at Real Madrid, and luring him away will be difficult. Although the Brazilian is likely to play a key role for Los Blancos next season, Carlo Ancelotti may make a few changes to his squad.
Javier Villar joins Real Madrid as a free agent.
According to AS, Javier Villar has signed a contract with Real Madrid. Before joining Elche in 2019, the 18-year-old progressed through the ranks at Real Murcia and also spent time at Barcelona’s La Masia. Despite the fact that he has not played in the first eleven, scouts from Los Blancos were impressed by his performances at various youth levels.
