Real Madrid is gearing up for a new era under Carlo Ancelotti’s leadership. The Italian has returned to Los Blancos for a second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti was fairly successful during his first two years at the club, but he did not win the La Liga. As a result, the Italian is hell-bent on adding the coveted silverware to his trophy case next season.
Real Madrid is eager to make the required changes to their squad over the summer after missing out on the league on the final day of the previous campaign. Los Blancos’ offense remains a source of concern, but the La Liga giants are also looking for midfield reinforcements.
Let’s take a look at some of the top Real Madrid transfer stories from June 26th, 2021.
Real Madrid make huge decision on Kylian Mbappe pursuit
According to Caught Offside through Cadena Ser, Real Madrid has decided to discontinue its chase of Kylian Mbappe this summer. The 22-year-old is one of the best players in the world right now and was originally thought to be Real Madrid’s top summer target.
The Frenchman’s current contract with Paris Saint-Germain will expire in a year, and he has yet to sign a new one.

Real Madrid is eager to lure the Frenchman to the Santiago Bernabeu in order to resurrect their stuttering assault. Mbappe, on the other hand, is likely to be extremely expensive, and Los Blancos are doubtful that they will be able to match PSG’s valuation of the player.
The Ligue 1 champions have stated openly that they want to maintain their finest possession at the Parc des Princes, while the La Liga champions have conceded defeat. Things might change, however, if Mbappe informs PSG of his desire to quit the club.
Los Blancos are in the market for a €60 million Serie A midfielder.
According to The Hard Tackle through II Messaggero, Real Madrid has entered the competition to sign Luis Alberto. Juventus and AC Milan are also interested in the Spaniard, who has already made 175 appearances for Lazio and scored 35 goals.
Alberto has popped up on Los Blancos’ radar after playing 40 times in the just finished season and recording nine goals and four assists.

Alberto fits the description for Real Madrid, who are looking for a long-term replacement for the aging Luka Modric. The Serie A club value the 26-year-old at €60 million, but the La Liga giants could lower their asking price by including a player in the transfer.
Real Madrid offer €50m for French defender
According to ABC’s The Hard Tackle, Real Madrid has made a €50 million bid for Jules Kounde. Sevilla, on the other hand, has rejected the offer, claiming that the Frenchman is worth €80 million. The 22-year-old is one of the game’s brightest prospects, generating interest from a number of clubs around Europe.
With Sergio Ramos gone and Raphael Varane’s future unknown, Real Madrid want to recruit a new defender this summer. Los Blancos want to move Kounde to the Santiago Bernabeu, but Sevilla won’t allow him leave unless his €80 million release clause is paid.
