Gareth Bale, a winger for Real Madrid, is expected to retire from club football after his current contract with Los Blancos expires at the end of the 2021-22 season. Bale, on the other hand, will continue to play international football in order to help Wales qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to the Mirror, Gareth Bale has opted to stay with Real Madrid for the balance of his contract on Carlo Ancelotti’s orders. The Welshman’s current contract with the club expires in a year.
In only 251 games for the Spanish giants, Gareth Bale has scored an incredible 105 goals in all competitions. During the 2019-20 season, he fell out of favor with former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, and he finally became a sideline figure at the club.
Bale was forced to leave Real Madrid last summer as a result of this. On a season-long loan, he joined Tottenham Hotspur. Bale scored 16 goals in 34 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions last season. However, he appeared to be a shell of the player he was during his first stint with the north London club.
