Sasha Banks makes a triumphant return to SmackDown; saves the top champion from an attack

On tonight’s edition of SmackDown in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sasha Banks made a triumphant return. For the first time in three months, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion made an appearance and protected Bianca Belair from an onslaught by Zelina Vega and Carmella.

Since her ESPY award-winning bout against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37, Sasha Banks hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring. At the pay-per-view, The Boss and Belair stole the show, with the latter winning the SmackDown Women’s Title.

Banks returned to save her former opponent Carmella and Zelina Vega from a brutal beating.

After Vega and Carmella came out to demand a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship from The EST of WWE, who was discussing her future, Bianca Belair found herself in a difficult situation.

Unlike the last time, it appears like Banks and Belair are on the same page, and the two women would hug practically as soon as The Boss cleared the ring.

With Sasha Banks’ return, the blue brand’s female roster has received a significant boost.

For the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Sasha Banks is still due a rematch.
Sasha Banks may have returned to save Bianca Belair tonight, but The Boss is still due a rematch for the championship she lost at WrestleMania 37. Banks is constantly striving to be the best, and the SmackDown Women’s Championship will undoubtedly be on her mind.

As things stand, Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks appear to be rivals who have become friends.

If history is any indication, this might change at any time, and it wouldn’t be strange to see Sasha Banks fast turn around and inform The EST of WWE of her plans.
