Hardik Pandya has confirmed Team India’s touchdown in Sri Lanka, which was captained by Shikhar Dhawan. On Monday, the all-rounder shared a snapshot from Colombo airport, six hours after the BCCI released the team’s pre-departure photo.
Team India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in the island nation, beginning on July 13 with the former. All of the games will take place in Colombo.
The tour group, which includes a 20-member core squad, five net bowlers, and support staff lead by head coach Rahul Dravid, will be quarantined in their hotel rooms for three days.
Following that, they will begin training in a controlled atmosphere according to Sri Lanka Cricket’s requirements (SLC).
Hardik Pandya, who was sorely missed by Virat Kohli’s side in the World Test Championship (WTC) final in England, is set to return to the international fold after a three-month absence.
He was one of the early favorites to head the young team, but he will now serve as a senior member.

. All attention will be on his bowling condition, rather than his hitting form, which saw a little fall in IPL 2021. Pandya has been unable to return to his previous workload since suffering a significant back injury during the 2018 Asia Cup.
The fact that Pandya is the only designated fast-bowling all-rounder in both the Virat Kohli-led and Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian sides demonstrates his relevance in the current situation.
In the forthcoming T20 World Cup, his assistance with the ball would be key for India’s balance.
