Tepig Community Day in Pokemon GO: How to Catch a Shiny Tepig

|

Tepig Community Day is today on Pokemon Go, and you have until 5 p.m. to collect as many of the little pigs as possible. You might even get a shiny Tepig if you’re lucky.

Pokemon Go’s Tepig Community Day has arrived, following Gible Community Day last month. Tepig isn’t as thrilling as Gible, nor is it as powerful in its evolutions or as easy to get, but you don’t always get a chance to capture top-tier Pokemon. Today is Tepig community day, and you have till 5 p.m. to catch as many as you can. It started at 11 a.m. today, so you might want to start catching up.

If you can’t get out of your house to catch them, don’t worry. If you have incense in your item bag, we recommend using it. Today’s incense will last three hours instead of the normal one hour, allowing you to stay at home and get some work done. While catching Tepig is not difficult, you may want to use those berries, especially if you come across a Shiny one.

Everything you need to know about the Tepig
Tepig is a charming tiny pig with a small red ball on its tail when it first appears. Pignite is the evolution of the fire Pokemon, and it requires 25 candies to complete. The Pignite is more of a stand-in for the Tepig, a transitional condition. The Emboar is what you truly want to evolve it into, and you’ll need 100 Tepig sweets to do so. The Emboar is based on the general Zhang Fei from the Dynasty Warrior series’ Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Tepig’s actions

If you manage to develop Tepig into Emboar during or within two hours of the Community Day event, the Pokemon will gain the Blast Burn move. Although the Blast Burn move is a top-tier PvP move, you are unlikely to employ the Emboar in any PvP combat unless you have sufficiently powered it up or are simply determined to using the Pokemon for a battle.

What is the best way to catch a gleaming Tepig?

One thing is certain about Pokemon Go’s Community Day. A chance to catch a shiny variant of the Pokemon in the spotlight. Today is your chance to catch a gleaming Tepig. The shining Tepig is a few shades lighter than the regular Tepig and appears to be more gold than brown. The shiny Pignite, once evolved, has purple accents, and the shiny Emboar is dressed in blue and looks really cool.
