Chelsea has officially signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan, completing their aim of adding a top-class forward to their team this summer. As the attacker prepares to make his Blues debut, Thomas Tuchel has outlined why he believes the move was a good one.
The manager made the following remark:
“We’re glad to have Romelu back at the club; we believe he can be a terrific choice for us in terms of personality, speed, and power.”
He has the strength and physique to assist us, as well as the experience and personality to make a significant difference. He is both humble and a great team player, and he cares about Chelsea,” continued the Blues manager.
Following Timo Werner’s troubles last season, Chelsea went into the summer keen to add a top-level attacker to their team. The Blues were linked with Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski, but were unable to persuade their respective clubs to sell them.
They next switched their focus to Romelu Lukaku, and were successful in bringing the Belgian to Stamford Bridge in a £97.5 million deal from Inter Milan. The striker has agreed to a five-year contract with the club.

Following that, the striker put on a string of eye-catching performances for Belgium during the just concluded European Championship. He scored four goals in five games to propel his country to the quarterfinals, when they were defeated by eventual victors Italy.
Chelsea expect to benefit greatly from their investment this season, as the striker is now blazing on all cylinders.
